A Resident Evil Anniversary Collection for PS3 has been announced for Japan by Capcom. Celebrating 17 years of frights, the collection includes Resident Evil 6, Resident Evil 5 Gold, Resident Evil: Revival Selection, and download codes for Resident Evil: Director’s Cut, Resident Evil 2, and Resident Evil 3. The Revival Selection includes the following HD remakes: Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil: Code Veronica. Resident Evil Anniversary Package is out on March 22 for ¥8,990 yen ($102). Capcom has released two new videos highlighting the Mercenaries DLC featuring Josh and Excella.

Excella was revealed earlier in the month for the episode, with pics.

The boxed copy of Resident Evil 5: Gold will contain all the additional DLC released, plus the upcoming Lost in Nightmares, Mercenaries Reunion, Desperate Escape, and costumes for $49.99 as a single Blu-ray disc for PS3 or as a DVD with a token for the downloadable content for Xbox 360 on March 9.

Lost in Nightmares and Costume Pack 1 will be released on February 17 and 18 for 360 and PS3, respectively. Desperate escape along with Costume Pack 2 will hit on March 3 and 4 for 360 and PS3 respectively.

The BBFC has outed what could possibly be the “to be announced” second level for Resident Evil 5: Alternate Edition.

Called Desperate Escape, the listing only cites the name, with no details other than the fact it’s to be included in the retail version, which we all know as Gold.

It’s expected to be released through DLC as well, at this point, so don’t go bashing your room to bits just yet.

We posted this video before, but since the news of the Gold Edition was announced, we decided to post it again.

At first we thought we’d dreamt of posting it before because it took a while to find it. We even thought Capcom may have beamed it into our brain while we slept innocently in our bed – but no. It was posted way back on October 1.
