Company of Heroes 2 beta extended to June 23
SEGA and Relic have extended the Company of Heroes 2 beta to June 23. The extension will add multiplayer maps into the rotation as well as double XP this weekend in auto match multiplayer modes, reports Joystiq. All general experience will transfer over to the game when it launches June 25. Players will need to purchase the game within 60 days of launch to keep their experience.

Company of Heroes 2 video is about more than tanks, but still about tanks
Company of Heroes 2 has a new trailer available below. The title of the video may confuse you, considering it’s called “More than Tanks,” but really that’s what the video shows. Men running around on the ground firing weapons, while tanks blow other tanks and the land around them to smithereens. Honestly though, there’s more than just heavy machinery in the game. You can drop bombs from the sky as well. Company of Heroes 2 is out on PC June 25.

Company of Heroes movie hits DVD, Blu-ray February 26
The Company of Heroes movie based on Relic’s strategy games will be released on DVD and Blu-ray February 26. It was originally slated for release March 19, according to Gamespot. It stars Tom Sizemore, Neal McDonough and some other Hollywood types. Here it is on Amazon.

Company of Heroes 2 trailer takes a look at multiplayer
A new trailer for Company of Heroes 2 has been released, showing off the game’s multiplayer. You can watch it in all of its glory below. A closed beta test for the strategy title is expected sometime after the New Year. Company of Heroes 2 is expected on PC in March 2013.

Company of Heroes 2 dev diary traverses the Eastern Front, closed beta after “New Year”
Relic has released a new Company of Heroes 2 developer diary, in which the team’s Brett Pascal, Greg Wilson, Jasen Torres and Rob Westwood discuss the strategy title’s gameplay. The team also touches up on the new light of sight system, TrueSight, and how the horrors of war on the Eastern Front will immerse the player in battlefields of WWII. The video also provides some in-game clips. In other news, a closed beta test is expected sometime “after the New Year,” and an Alpha stress test will go live next week for a limited number of players. Company of Heroes 2 is expected on PC in March 2013.

The gameplay trailer for Company of Heroes 2 has arrived as promised. Along with proper gameplay, the first major footage of the game contains lost of explosions and epic music. Nice. It’s the same video which was shown last night on Xplay. Company of Heroes 2 is expected on PC in March 2013.

Team Fortress 2 gets Company of Heroes 2 pre-purchase unlocks
Company of Heroes 2 pre-purchase customers on Steam have collectively unlocked the first tier of rewards. Early bird customers can now doll up their Team Fortress 2 characters with military insignia and head gear, but there’s another tier waiting to be unlocked once enough people pre-purchase the game, and it’s something rather neat indeed.

Company of Heroes 2 screenshots have been released by THQ, and they show off the “innovative weather condition” simulation tech in the game. Relic has preciously said the weather system will make the brutal Soviet winter on the Eastern Front just as deadly in-game as it was during World War II. Basically, your troops can freeze to death. Relic has added Stalin’s Order No. 227 – Not a Step Back – to Company of Heroes 2. To those unfamiliar with the order, it means no commander had the right to retreat without an order lest they be gunned down by their own soldiers.
