Here’s a quick one for you: Nintendo’s Reggie Fils-Aime is set to make an appearance during Spike TV’s Video Game Awards. During last night’s episode of GameTrailers TV Fils-Aime even teased the firm “may have something special” to announce, “we’ll see.” For the non-Nintendo crowd, it was also confirmed a new trailer for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will also debut at VGX. Super Smash Bros. fans will either roll their eyes at this or get behind it, but a funny thing happened on Change.org recently: a petition to put Nintendo of America boss Reggie Fils-Aime in Super Smash Bros. 3DS and Wii U as a playable character. The actual subject was brought up last month through a Twitter question asked when he was on Jimmy Fallon’s late night talk show. Reggie said he would if designer Masahiro Sakurai thought it was a good idea. Sign the petition if you like here, along with the 10,583 other folks. Super Smash Bros. Wii U and 3DS is out next year.
