Red Faction: Guerrilla screens have been released by Volition.

There’s five of ‘em showing off the new DLC, Demons of the Badlands, which is expected to land on PSN and XBL on August 13.

Red Faction: Guerrilla players can expect three upcoming packs for the game.

The first one to be announced was Demons of the Badlands, and its expected to launch on Xbox Live and PSN August 13 for 800 MS Points ($9.99).

It will expand on the single-player experience providing a new mission arc occurring outside of the “expansive world”.

No word on on what the other two entail, or extra specifics for Demons of the Badlands were forthcoming, but keep checking back with us.

The PC version of Red Faction: Guerrilla has been pushed back and will now release on August 25.

This is according to the official GameStop website, which of course, does not list a reason for the delay.

PS3 and Xbox 360 versions are still scheduled for a June 2 release, so no worries there.

We’ve contacted THQ for clarification and we’ll let you know when we get a response.

THQ just confirmed that the promised Red Faction: Guerrilla multiplayer demo is now available for both 360 and PS3.

The teaser includes a ten-player look at a mode called Damage Control, “a new twist to traditional capture-and-hold, point-based gameplay.”

The multiplayer demo for Red Faction: Guerrilla has been dated for PS3 and Xbox 360.

On May 21, Volition will give you a taste of the Damage Control mode. It entails building and rebuilding key structures on two maps, using nine weapons and five backpacks.

Players who try it out can earn 15 experience levels which will transfer over to the game when it ships June 2.

Red Faction: Guerrilla is to get a multiplayer demo later this month, THQ CEO Brian Farrell has confirmed.

A single-player demo for the title has already released.

The full game is to release for PC, 360 and PS3 in early June.

Farrell was speaking in THQ’s Q4 and year-end earnings call, which is ongoing.

THQ announced losses of over $430 million for the year ending March today.

THQ just posted up a new trailer for Red Faction: Guerrilla, showing some of the game’s stealth and ambush tactics.

THQ has announced that the European PS3 and Xbox 360 release date for Red Faction: Guerrilla been moved up a week to June 5.

Game’s still hitting North America on June 2.

Volition has released the first developer diary for Red Faction: Guerrilla.

It’s posted on the official community site, or after the jump if you prefer.

In it, the game’s writer – Drew Holmes – talks about life on Mars, its six sectors and protagonist Alec’s main task. There’s also a glimpse at the title’s mysterious third faction, the Marauders.

Game’s out for PC, PS3 and 360 in June.

THQ’s released another Red Faction: Guerrilla movie, this time showing the game’s mech walkers and how they aid you in your apparently endless quest to knock Martian buildings down.

THQ just announced that Brit gamers are going to be in with a shot at getting in early on the Red Faction: Guerrilla demo. From the firm’s site:

Following the recent announcement that gamers in the USA can gain early access to the upcoming Red Faction: Guerrilla single player demo by pre-ordering from GameStop, THQ can confirm that UK gamers will also have the opportunity to sample the demo early via the PlayStation Network and Xbox LIVE Marketplace thanks to a soon-to-be-open key giveaway on THQ-games.com.

Get to it. You’ll need to register to be in with a chance of getting key. The game’s out in June.

A THQ rep has confirmed to Shacknews that Red Faction: Guerrilla will be released for PC, PS3, and Xbox 360 on June 9.

A demo is slated to arrive on consoles April 23, with GameStop pre-orderers getting their hands on it three weeks beforehand.

THQ’s released a new video for upcoming Volition shoot-fest, Red Faction: Guerrilla.

The open-world shooter allows you to roam Mars and blow stuff up. That’s pretty much it.

Game is expected sometime during Q2 for PC, PS3 and 360.

Volition’s told Eurogamer that upcoming action sequel Red Faction: Guerrilla’s destructible environments are almost a decade of similar competitive games.

“We’re ahead of everybody by five to ten years in terms of destruction,” said lead designer James Hague.

Not only that, but the developer is “ruining other games for people with this game,” according to Hague.

He added: “There’s a lot of games out now that are very, very pretty, they’re next-gen, they’re beautiful games, but they’re set-pieces. Everything was custom-built just to look nice. While other games companies were going toward pretty-but-static, we wanted to go toward fully-dynamic for everything. It’s a very different technical direction from where other people are going.”

As you can see on this GameStop page, THQ’s to release a demo of Red Faction: Guerrilla on April 3 to those that pre-order the game.

The access code and instructions for getting hold of the teaser will be begin to be emailed on March 31.

The game itself ships in June for PC and consoles, and has been raising eyebrows among those who’ve seen it recently, what with its impressive destructible environments and all the other Mars-based, gun-toting banana.

If destructible environments and explosions are your bag, you may as well be doing it on Mars as anywhere else, and the Volition effort appears to have succeeded in spades.

Early indications are that this is very much one to watch.
