Apparently, Sony is close to confirming a release date for Payday: The Heist, and the EU PS Blog says it’s just waiting on SOE to provide 100% confirmation for the release. It is “hopefully” going to be announced later today. Cross your fingers, and all that.

First off, as mentioned yesterday, Street Fighter III: Third Strike Online Edition is now available for download. If you have already pre-ordered, visit the PLAY section and download a bundle of the Trial/Unlock/DLC at no cost. You should also be receiving an email in the next day or two as a reminder.

Those interested in demos should queue up NHL 12, Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine, and PES 2012. There are also trial and unlocks for Hamilton’s Great Adventure and Backbreaker: Vengeance.

As far as the Special Offers Update is concerned, Sony is holding a PSP Power Sale which contains over 100 pieces of content available for the next month.

This sale is split into two parts, with the first part starting today and running until September 7. After which, all the games will be changed for more PSP games. There are also a few minis and PSone titles in there as well.

The Uncharted Multiplayer Beta is live, as you well know, and there is a really large 30 percent off sale going on for EA’s PSN titles where you can get discounts on the likes of: Shank, DeathSpank, Tetris, Madden NFL Arcade, and Dead Space: Ignition until July 20.
