Project X Zone: ‘A lethal surprise’ demo on 3DS now, second demo coming June 27
Project X Zone developer Namco Bandai has launched a European demo for its Sega and Capcom crossover brawler. The demo, which we told you about overnight, has been detailed a bit more this morning, along with confirmation that a second demo is coming next month.

Namco Bandai has released a demo for Project X Zone in Europe today through the Nintendo eShope. Titled Lethal Surprise, it features characters from Sakura Wars, Cyberbots, Space Channel 5 and Valkria Chronicles.

Mark your calendar – “lengthy” Project X Zone trailer coming July 2
Those looking forward to the first, lengthy video for Project X Zone will only have to wait until Monday, July 2, according to word from Capcom, Namco and SEGA. The news comes to us via Andriasang, which also states the official website for the game will also be refreshed with character content and commentary from the voice actors. The game’s cover art has also been released, and features the work of illustrator Masato Morioka. It’s posted below. Project X Zone will release in Japan on October 1 for 3DS. Whether it will head west is not known at this time.

Project X Zone hits Japan October 11
Namco Bandai, Capcom and Sega’s strategy RPG crossover Project X Zone releases in Japan on October 11, according to Famitsu via Andriasang. Famitsu also revealed a couple of new characters in the crossover’s cast of over 200 – Imca from Valkyria Chronicles 3; Arthur from Ghosts ‘n Goblins; Rikiya Busujima from Zombie Revenge; Fren from Tales of Vesperia; and Devilotte from Cyberbots – as well as two original characters and possibly more. No western release has been confirmed for the 3DS title.

Project X Zone has over 70 voice actors
As reported by Andriasang, Namco Bandai has announced that voice recording for tactical RPG Project X Zone is almost complete. Over 70 voice actors are involved in the Capcom, Sega and Namco Bandai collaboration, which is of particular interest because the publisher is yet to confirm how many characters will appear in the final game. Project X Zone launches in Japan later this year; a western release has not been confirmed.

Project X Zone gets new screens
Siliconera‘s posted new screens of Project X Zone, the collaboration between Namco Bandai, Capcom and Sega. It’ll come to 3DS in Japan later this year, and has now been confirmed to be in development at Xenoblade Chronicles developer Monolithsoft.
