Video – PoP: The Forgotten Sands on Wii

Ubisoft’s released new video for the Wii version of Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands, showing off some of the gameplay elements.

You can catch it below the break, courtesy of Joystiq.

It’s out on May 21 for PS3, Xbox 360, Wii and DS. June will see the release of the PC version.

PoP: The Forgotten Sands CE for Europe has classic PoP included

Ubisoft has released a trailer for Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands, and not only does it show some sweet gameplay footage but reveals the PC, PS3, and Xbox 360 Collector’s Edition of the game for Europe.

PoP: The Forgotten Sands already in the works before last game was released

Level design director for Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands, Michael McIntyre, has revealed that the new adventure in the Prince’s series was started before the 2008 version was even finished.

Ubisoft claims to have lost PoP players to God of War series

Animation director Jan-Erik Sjovall has said that Ubisoft’s “lost” many Prince of Persia players to the God of War series, and is hoping to gain them back with The Forgotten Sands.

Ubisoft says previous PoP game was not a failure

Level design director for PoP: The Forgotten Sands, Michael McIntyre, has said that just because the new title is going back to basics for the Prince as far as looks and gameplay go -  doesn’t mean the cell-shaded Prince is a thing of the past.

PoP: The Forgotten Sands hits 360 and PS3 same day as Wii

Yesterday, when Ubisoft announced details for the Wii version of Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands, it was revealed that the title would land on the Nintendo system May 18 and 20 in the US and Europe, respectively.

We were sure this meant the PS3 and Xbox 360 version would hit the same day as well, but we asked Ubisoft just to be sure.
