Pokémon Platinum, an extended version of 2007’s Diamond and Pearl, will release in the UK on May 22. New stuff in the latest for the monster-hunting RPG includes enhanced Wi-Fi combat and a “brand new Distortion World, governed by neither time nor space”. Which sounds sensational. More on CVG.

According to Enterbrain figures, Pokemon Platinum has sold 967,675 copies in the first two days it’s been on sale in Japan. Which is probably an awful lot. No idea on a European release date. Thanks, Kotaku.
According to this Kotaku piece, Pokemon Platinum has been announced as will release in the autumn. Apparently it’s just an expansion to Diamond and Pearl, but them’s the breaks. There’s some images over there.
