Check out the screens for point-and-click adventure, Lost Horizon

losthorizon

Lost Horizon, the PC point and click adventure game from the makers of Secret Files, has some new screens for it posted over on IGN.

Set during the 1930′s, the game contains locales such as Hong Kong, Morocco, and Tibet, as the player takes on the role of smuggler and former British soldier Fenton Paddock.

Tasked with finding a lost expedition in Tibet, he must beat the Nazis to the ever mythical Shambala if he is to prevent them from using the magical kingdom as a weapon for further conquest.

Shambala should sound familiar to some gamers at this point, but we won’t say why just in case.

Lost Horizon is set for release next year on the PC.

GoG adds Sanitarium to its list of cheap games

sanitarium

Good Old Games has added Sanitarium to its library and for $9.99 you’ll also get the soundtrack.

Considered a must for point-and-click adventure enthusiasts, Sanitarium puts players in the shoes of an asylum patient who survived a car crash and if suffering from amnesia.

There’s loads of ancient gods, deformed children, and ghosts from your past in a house inside of a water reflection. Yep. Creepy and strange alright.

The game has five different worlds chock full of riddles and answers, where you must decide what is real and what isn’t.

Go get it.

GameTap adds more Grimm, Just Cause is free until March 26

grimm

American McGee’s Grimm Volume 3 is starting to wind down, what with only two episodes left after this week’s offering of Sleeping Beauty.

In Grimm’s sordid version of the fairy tale, a socially awkward witch puts a kingdom to sleep for 100 years. This promises to be the longest episode yet.

Also, Just Cause has been added to the free-to-play list, but only until March 26.

That should get you pumped until Just Cause 2 comes out sometime this year.

GameTap’s offerings can be found here, and if you are chintzy and don’t wanna spend the cash on a subscription, just play the free ones.

GameTap Thursday gets Grimm Vol 3 and Serious Sam II

serious sam 2

GameTap uncorked the final volume of American McGee’s Grimm yesterday with Episode 17: The Frog King, as well as adding Take-Two’s bullet-ridden Serious Sam II.

This Grimm episode sees a naïve young princess discover just how messy love can get when she hooks up with an unusually charming – albeit slimy – frog. All new episodes of Grimm are free for the first 24 hours.

Serious Sam II is also free for its first week on the service, but there are close to 142 free games over there to play should you sign up, so you’re pretty much spoiled for choice on the “free” front.

More Grimm is expected next week, and gold members will soon get Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War: Dark Crusade, and Titan Quest with the Immortal Throne expansion pack.
