New Killzone: Mercenary screens break cover
Guerilla Games has released a new bunch of Killzone: Mercenary screenshots and they look really beautiful. The new screens seem to be direct-captures and show off the game’s majestic world as well as featuring various characters, environments and textures. Killzone Mercenary releases in the US on September 10, in Europe on September 4 and in the UK on September 6. You can watch the screens after the break. Thanks, AGB.

Today marks the beginning of a New Year giveaway for PlayStation players. Sony has announced that one free PS Mobile game will be available to download across each of the next six weeks.

Yoshida disappointed in third-party support for Vita
Worldwide Studios President for Sony, Shuhei Yoshida, has expressed disappointment in the lack of support the Vita is receiving from third-party developers. He has said he is ready to show developers that Vita is the right hardware for games.

Uncharted: Golden Abyss gets launch trailer
Sony’s released the launch trailer for Uncharted: Golden Abyss ahead of its release next week. The trailer’s story-focused and contains a fair bit of gameplay footage. It’s vintage Uncharted stuff with lots of puzzles, climbing and shooting involved. Sony’s lifted the embargo on the reviews of the game, along with the rest of the PS Vita’s launch line-up, as you can see here. Watch the trailer after the break.
