Play.com sells Rock Band Instrument Pack plus game for £140

rockbanda2.jpg

Play.com has priced the Rock Band Instrument Pack at £99.99 for UK residents, with the game itself costing £39.99.

The online retailer seems to have listened to angry consumers in wake of today’s official announcement that the Instrument Pack’s RRP had been set at £140 in Europe, and that the Rock Band disc itself wouldn’t be included.

Using several advanced computers we can tell you that is a saving of over £40 or 22 percent.

Bear in mind that this pricing is only available if you live in the UK.

Thanks to epic_wanderer for the heads up.

Play.com sells out of Wii Fit

It really has. The £70 product is due to hit Europe on April 25, so you’ll have to look elsewhere if you want to stand on one leg in front of your TV for a bit and pay lots of money for the privilege.

Play.com sells out of GT5: Prologue

Here. “Our initial allocation of stock has now sold through,” said the site. “All orders placed on or after 25th March will be fulfilled week commencing 31st March.”

The game releases on March 28. Still has plenty of the Prologue bundle left for this weekend, if you fancy it.

Fable 2 for “late autumn at the earliest”

fable24.jpg

Despite Fable 2 being listed as a May 30 release by Play.com yesterday, the game will not be released until the end of the year.

“Peter was saying at GDC that Fable 2 won’t be released until late autumn at the earliest,” a source told videogaming247.

Remember what Phil says, readers: don’t believe everything you read on the internet, especially when it’s a retailer release date.

More than 20,000 people buy Play.com Live tickets

Says so here. Play.com’s Gian Luzio reckons demand for the Wembley show this weekend has been good.

“The tickets have been selling really well,” he said. “We are looking at in excess of 20,000 people. There’s been a lot of consumer demand for the event, which will enable people to get their hands on games before they’ve been released, and so we’re really happy.”

Luzio said this will be the first in what he hopes will be a yearly event.

“At the moment there isn’t much of a gaming event in the UK that brings together all of the different games publishers and their offerings for the consumer,” he added. “So this is the first of a yearly show that we hope to put on, which will have the whole breadth of entertainment from games, music, and film for the consumer.”

In case you missed it, Gemma Atkinson, her from Hollyoaks with the tits, is going to be there. That’s all you need to know, really. If it isn’t, have a look at the official site.
