Nathan: “Pat! I’m going to Japan!”
Pat: “I’ll ask Dylan Cuthbert if you can pop along to Q’s offices in Kyoto and do an interview.”
Nathan: “Awesome.”

[10 minutes later]

Pat: “It’s all good. He said yes.”
Nathan: “I’m so, like, doing this thing. Hopefully I’ll get to speak to PixelJunk Shooter director Shouichi Tominaga, PixelJunk Monsters and Racers director Rhod Broadbent and recruitment and PR chap Duncan Flett.”
Pat: “That would be very cool. And Dylan, too?”
Nathan: “I have a feeling he won’t be there on the day.”
Pat: “Me too. We didn’t want to speak to him anyway, right?”
Nathan: “Right. I think.”

PSP PixelJunk Monsters to have “50% more content”

pixeljunkmonstersa.jpg

In an interview with Core Gamers, Q-Games founder Dylan Cuthbert has revealed that the PSP version of PixelJunk Monsters is to contain “50 percent or more new content”.

To quantify, that’s probably “a lot” of new stuff.

There’s no solid date on the latest outing in the strategy series, but it is planned for this year.

Thanks, Destructoid.

PAIN is PSNs most downloaded of 2008

paina.jpg

PlayStation show Pulse is reporting that PAIN is the most downloaded title on its PlayStation Network this year.

The game released on US PSN back in 2007 and in Europe March of this year. High Velocity Bowling rolled in second and the seminal Super Stardust HD third.

In fact, considering most of the titles in the top 10 (below) came out in the US last year, we’re left wondering if its a worldwide chart.

  1. Pain
  2. High Velocity Bowling
  3. Super Stardust HD
  4. PixelJunk Monsters
  5. Flow
  6. Warhawk
  7. Aquatopia
  8. Tekken 5 Dark Resurrection
  9. High Stakes Poker Edition
  10. Ratchet & Clank: Quest for Booty

Thanks, PS3F.
