Sing Hero assets show canned karaoke game
Prior to its dramatic exit from the music games business, Activision had a karaoke game in the works – Sing Hero. Not much is known about the game beyond its use of fan numbers as a scoring device. Siliconera has a couple of assets from the shelved title, which was in the works at Rock Band Wii port developer Pi Studios. The developer has since closed, and although Activision has renewed its Sing Hero trademark, it looks like this once has been abandoned. Hit the link to pick over the bones.

Pi Studios reported closed, staff join Category 6, new title already on the way
Work-for-hire developer Pi Studios has reportedly shut up shop, with former staffers legging it for the newly-formed Category 6, already at work on its first original IP.

First screen for Quake Arena Arcade pops up

Quake Arena Arcade, the XBLA port of Quake III Arena, has its first screenshot.
It’s a menu shot, and posted after the break.
Pi Studios website dishes that the game has 40 Arenas in single and multiplayer; 16 player multiplayer; leaderboards, matchmaking; and game modes that include Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, Capture the Flag, Tournament, Harvester and Overload.
Still no date.
