Cognition: An Erica Reed Thriller investigates iPad
Phoenix Online has ported its original adventure series, Cognition: An Erica Reed Thriller, to the iPad. The supernatural point-and-click series has produced two episodes so far on lead platforms Mac and PC, and the first, The Hangman, is now available through the App Store at a special launch price of $4, down from the regular $5. Cognition: An Erica Reed Thriller – Episode 2: The Wise Monkey releases next week
Cognition: An Erica Reed Thriller – Episode 2: The Wise Monkey will release on PC and Mac next week. To get you caught up on the events leading up to the second episode, a trailer has been released. You ca watch it below. Also, starting at 4:00pm EST the Phoenix Online team will host a live broadcast to celebrate The Wise Monkey’s launch. Jane Jensen, creator of Gabriel Knight and story consultant on Cognition, will join in at 5:00pm. Cognition: An Erica Reed Thriller – Episode 2: The Wise Monkey releases January 30. Each episode is available for $9.99 or alternatively, customers can drop $29.99 for the Season Pass which includes all four episodes when launched. Jane Jensen’s Moebius: Gabriel Knight fans will love every minute of it, says dev
Gabriel Knight creator Jane Jensen may be unable to make future games in the acclaimed adventure series due to licensing issues, but that hasn’t stopped her from making a spiritual successor instead.
