Phantasy Star Universe says its final goodbye
Phantasy Star Universe is dead. After the PS2 and PC servers were shut down two years, players have been enjoying the Xbox 360 version of the game. Unfortunately, that has now been closed, meaning the title is no more.

PSUP top in Japan as Vesperia makes valiant showing
Phantasy Star Universe Portable’s still lording over Japanese software sales, with Fire Emblem on DS punching up quickly into second place. Story of the week, though, has to be 360-exclusive Tales of Vesperia, with 108,000 units sold. The hardware figures are going to be worth watching this week.

Japanese software sales, July 28 to August 3
PSP’s still going strong in Japan, it seems, with Phantasy Star Universe going top in its first week in the charts. If you look close enough, you’ll see that there’s a 360 title thrown in there too: Soul Calibur IV to be precise. Nintendo however, still has an iron grip on the scene, making up half of the Japanese top ten.

More Sega oldies head to British PCs
British firm Avanquest has announced a furthering of a deal with Sega that will see Phantasy Star Universe, Virtual Tennis, Sega Rally and Medieval 2: Total War released (again) for PC in the UK.
The company already distributes a bunch of old Sega games in Britain, including Sonic Mega Collection and Rome: Total War.
The titles will end up in major retailers, like GAME, PC World, WH Smith, Amazon.co.uk, Play.com, Zawi, Morrisons and Tesco.
