Report: Rovio aiming for 2013 Hong Kong-based IPO
Rovio has reportedly said in a Finnish newspaper this morning it’s to plan an IPO for the Hong Kong Stock Exchange in the next two years. Speaking to Tekniikka&Talous weekly, CEO Peter Vesterbacka said the Angry Birds company was aiming to have market capitalization similar to Disney. “That is the target. There is no reason why we should not be able to build a company of that size,” he said (via Reuters), adding revenues from the company for this year would be $100 million compared to $10 million in 2010.

Angry Birds hits 500 million downloads in less than two years
Rovio has announced that Angry Birds has been downloaded 500 million times since its release on December 11, 2009. “It’s more than any game ever before,” said the firm’s marketing boss Peter Vesterbacka, who added that the firm’s next goal is to reach 1 billion downloads. Angry Birds reaches 250 million downloads
Rovio’s confirmed that Angry Birds has now hit 250 million downloads on all mobile platforms the game has appeared on. Angry Birds downloaded over 100 million times
Rovio’s Peter Vesterbacka, speaking on a panel at the SXSW conference in Austin, Texas, this week, has confirmed that Angry Birds has now been downloaded more than 100 million times He reiterated that the game has 40 million monthly active users, who spend 200 million minutes a day playing the game across various devices.
