Godus Kickstarter: tearful Molyneux concerned about over-promising
Peter Molyneux’s studio 22 Cans launched a Kickstarter page for what is supposedly its one and only game release. It’s a god sim called Godus that attempts to recreate and improve on the foundation laid by Molyneux’s 1989 PC title Populous. However, a tearful Molyneux has revealed that he’s concerned that Curiosity’s server issues have created distrust among gamers. More below.

Peter Molyneux and 22Cans have launched a Kickstarter for Project Godus, an “innovative reinvention of Populous,” the original god game. It promises “exciting global co-operation, competition, creation and destruction to a whole new generation.”

Curiosity has “six big new features” going live as early as next week
Curiosity, the app experiment from 22Cans, will have “six big new features” which could be added next week, according to Peter Molyneux who said the content was designed based on “how people interact” with the app. Yesterday, the team responsible for the Cube servers said an update eliminating future loss of coins was “in the pipeline” and being submitted for review by Apple. 22Cans and Peter Molyneux have released a video, apologizing for technical issues with Curiosity: What’s Inside The Cube?. The video explains that the issues stem from server issues caused by a high volume of folks playing the mobile title. The team is working on resolving the issues, with the ultimate goal being users to log on instantaneously and for concurrent users to be able to perform block taps in actual real-time. Watch below.

Molyneux isn’t convinced by SmartGlass
Peter Molyneux may have just launched Curiosity: What’s Inside the Cube? on smartphone and tablets this week, but he’s not convinced by the way tablet devices are being used by Wii U and via Xbox SmartGlass. He reckons it’s a case of tech guys running wild with ideas without thinking of the logistics.
