Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown, Persona 4 Arena, BlazBlue Continuum Shift: Extend, Melty Blood Actress Again Current Code, and Guilty Gear XX Accent Core Plus will all be present at EVO 2012, but won’t be part of the event’s official streams. Happily, Shoryuken reports those interested in the fringe events will still be able to get all the action live from the event floor, thanks to community-minded volunteers: bookmark 8 Way Run and Xie‘s TwitchTV channels. EVO 2012 kicks off on July 6 – tomorrow! – in Las Vegas.

Arc Systems Works has announced DLC for Persona 4: The Arena in Japan post-release next month. Don’t expect a massive helping, though: the DLC will contain different colour costume variations for characters, different glasses for entering the Persona world and extra menu voiceovers consisting of Mitsuru, Yosuke, Aigis, and Teddie.

It’s all go for Atlus this week at E3: the publisher’s announced an August 7 US release for fighter Persona 4: Arena and released the E3 trailer for the Vita redeux of Persona 4: The Golden. That and Arena’s trailer for the show is after the break.

Atlus has announced its brought forward the console release of Persona 4: Arena in Japan by a week. It’ll now launch on July 26 compared to the previous launch date of August 2.

Arc System is set to include two new members to the Persona 4 roster: Persona 3′s velvet room guide Elizabeth and Shadow Labrys. Labrys will arrive on the arcade version in Japan tomorrow, but the Shadow version will come on April 19. Elizabeth will join on April 5. It’s likely both will be included into the console version when it releases this summer in the US for PS3 and 360.
