Gears of War: Judgment environments drew on urban ruin references
In a studio tour video introducing Gears of War: Judgment developer People Can Fly, the team revealed that a photography shoot at an abandoned warehouse inspired the game’s palette. Environmental concepts do indeed show a slightly more colourful take on the usual gritty mud-on-mud look shooters are apparently stuck with; there’s also some snippets of new footage and a pretty great kitchen, so check out the full video through the break.

Gears of War: Judgment trailer shows off the Tripwire Crossbow
Gears of War: Judgment has received a new weapon trailer, this time showing off the Tripwire Crossbow. You can use it to set up laser tripwires that detonate when Locust troops pass through, slicing them to bits. You also get a ‘Ribbon’ reward for each time you do so. It’s rather nasty.
