The member’s page of the PC Gaming Alliance has seemingly lost its Activision logo.
Why? The PCGA told Kotaku that “a few members have decided they cannot justify the budget (membership and staff) required to maintain an active role in the PC Gaming Alliance at this time.”
While it’s lost a member, however, the PC-loving outfit’s gained one in the form of Sony DADC, the owner of DRM “solution” SecuROM.

PCGA: LucasArts hasn’t made a good PC game in a long time
Speaking with Videogamer, Randy Stude, president of the PC Gaming Alliance, has said its been a long time since LucasArts made a decent PC game.
“LucasArts hasn’t made a good PC game in a long time,” said Stude. “That’s my opinion.
“They make some pretty good games for the Wii, you know those little sticks you wave in the air, that seems like a natural fit for a lightsaber game, sure. But I think the last good PC game they made was probably Jedi Knight 2, and even their strategy games weren’t that great. So I can understand why they would make that call.
“They’re not really creating product within LucasArts themselves,” he explained. “They’re going at it job shopping their IP.
“”That may be a little controversial for me to say, but that’s what I see,” he added.

According to the San Jose Mercury News, a group of major PC gaming firms – namely Intel, Microsoft, nVidia and AMD, as well as “a number of computer companies – is going to announce “a consortium dubbed the PC Gaming Alliance” at GDC.
The group is being set up, apparently, in the face of the fact that console gaming has “stolen the excitement”, the point of the venture being to keep “PC gaming alive”.
There’s no detail on how they’re actually going to do it, but this is heartening nonetheless. Go PC gaming.
