Toukiden, the Vita action title in the works from Omega Force, has a new batch of screenshots and character art – some of which were shown recently in a scan – available for full on drooling. The four-player brawler is a historical hunting game, where your character, a demon hunter, needs to target specific body parts in order to purify the forces of evil. Awesome. Still no idea if it is heading west or not, but head on over to AGB and look for as long as you like at the screenshot goodness. It’s out in Japan in June.

Toukiden has received a new PS Vita trailer ahead of its June 27th release in Japan. Developer Omega Force shows off many of the games characters in action against huge beasts and more.

One Piece: Pirate Warriors was unashamedly silly, and One Piece: Pirate Warriors 2 also appears to be unashamedly silly. The opening cinematic packs in just about all the over-the-top action you’d expect from a union between Omega Force and the manga property.

Dynasty Warriors 7: Empires allows players to create their own character from a variety of costume pieces, collected in-game or obtained as DLC. Pre-orders for the tactical spin on the hack-and-slash series will score a couple of exclusive costume sets: Dynasty Warriors 6′s version of Diao Chan and Zhao Yun, and Nobunyaga, the feline star of a Samurai warriors spin off. The edit mode in general has been improved, and players can share custom characters online. Dynasty Warriors 7: Empires is expected on PlayStation 3 at the end of February. Dynasty Warriors 8 produces almost as many screenshots as KOs. This latest release includes three Shu characters: the traitorous Wei Yan; Zhuge Liang’s wife Yue Ying; and Xu Shu, who is later said to have served Wei. Hit the break to see them.

Tecmo Koei has released a fresh batch of screenshots and artwork from Dynasty Warriors 8, the latest in Omega Force’s long-running historical action franchise. The latest assets show off new roster addition Han Dang as well as returning characters Ding Feng, Zhou Tai, Xiao Qiao, Tai Shi Ci, Lu Bu, Diao Chan, Dong Zhuo and Yuan Shao. Of these nine, the first five are Wu, while the final four are unaffiliated. Visit Gematsu to see the lot. Dynasty Warriors 8 is due in Japan on February 28, with western release still to be confirmed but very likely.

Without an exact date or confirmation of a Vita release, Namco Bandai has confirmed that One Piece: Pirate Warrior 2 will see a European release on PlayStation 3 in summer 2013.

Fist of the North Star: Ken’s Rage 2 arrives in the US on February 5. Siliconera reports the brawler will be available in stores for Xbox 360 but only via download for the PlayStation Network – likely due to SCE America’s localisation policies, as with Dynasty Warriors 7: Empires. The sequel boasts a Legend mode which takes in the whole manga storyline; a Dream mode of original stories; more than 20 characters; and co-op or versus play. It arrives in Europe on February 1. Wii U launch dates for both territories are still to be determined.

Dynasty Warriors 7: Empires will see physical retail release in Australia and Europe but will come to the US via the PlayStation Network only, Siliconera reports. The last major Omega Force release, Warriors Orochi 3, also released as a PSN download only, because SCE America requires English voice-acting for physical releases. Expect the strategy-lite hack-and-slasher in all territories in February; the US launch has been re-dated for February 26.

The already expansive cast of Warriors Orochi 3 has been further expanded for the Wii U’s Hyper edition.

Omega Force has launched a teaser site for a new project. The Dynasty Warriors and One Piece: Pirate Warriors developer announced at TGS this year it was working on a new project, and the countdown site points towards a reveal on November 1. One Piece: Pirate Warriors, the first game based on the One Piece anime series to be released on PS3, has been given launch trailer showing all of the characters. They all have big mouths at one point or another, and seem to smile alot – just like in the anime. One Piece: Pirate Warriors will release on PS3 in Europe September 21 and in the US on September 25.

Namco and Koei-Tecmo have announced Omega Force’s One Piece: Pirate Warriors will launch in Europe on September 21. The game will be made available in three flavors: digital, collector’s and standard editions. The beefy version will come with the Thousand Sunny ship. The game was announced for a November release in North America. We’ll send a mail and find out if it will land in the states during September as well, or if we’ll have to wait. Famitsu has the first images of Musou Orochi 2 Special, a PSP release for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 game known as Warriors Orochi 3 in the west. This version has not been confirmed for outside Japan, but will include one new character – Rachel from Ninja Gaiden – and a Battle Royal Mode, with support for up to four players via Ad Hoc connection.
