OXM UK editor Jon Hicks has confirmed that a previously-planned reveal for the magazine that was pushed back in February is now back on for the mag’s next issue at the end of September. Hicks said on Twitter: “That secret reboot that we pulled at the last minute in February is back on. It’s in the OXM issue on-sale 30th Sept.” Considering the teaser page at the time was heavily speculated to be something related to EA Partners and Starbreeze’s rumoured Syndicate reboot, and add in this week’s earlier report, this has only added to the fire you’re about to see Redlime for the first time next week in Germany.

OXM UK’s gone live with a 9 for the first review of Crysis 2 in the mag’s latest issue. It says the main reason it was given the score was due to multiplayer, but the single-player also impressed as well. Find more on the review through here.
Crysis 2 releases on March 22 in the US and March 25 in the UK for PS3, 360 and PC.

And the price-cut rumours just keep on rolling.
It seems all but confirmed that the Xbox 360 will get a price-cut, but by how much? A guess would be £199/$299 for the Elite.
In fact, the newest ad from Walmart has the Elite down for $299. The new price will take effect from Wednesday September 1st.
Meanwhile, OXM have tweeted a hint on such a move.
“PS3 Slim’s are topping the sales charts everywhere. Hope Microsoft is paying attention to the power of a price cut. Yes, that was a hint…”
Lets get ready to ruuuuuumbleeeee!

The Advertising Standards Agency has ordered Eidos to not print or broadcast a Kane & Lynch campaign again after it received 26 complaints, according to this MCV piece.
One ad – showing a gagged woman, crying and having her head held back by one of the pair – was printed over a double-page spread in Edge, with a second version appearing in Total Film.
The ASA said: “The portrayal of violence it contained, with particular regard to the female hostage, was graphic and too shocking to be seen in an untargeted medium.”
On poster also got the campaign into hot water, carrying an OXM quote saying, “Grittier and nastier in tone than anything you’ve seen before, the violence here is visceral, brutal and very, very real.”
The ASA said this version was “likely to be seen as condoning and glorifying real violence”, and was also irresponsible and “likely to cause serious or widespread offence.”
We said, “Whoops.”
