Microsoft has responded to tonight’s NPD release for the month of April, citing the strong sales of Xbox 360- exclusive Splinter Cell: Conviction, and its hardware sales topping 185K units for the month, which is up six percent year-over-year.

NPD April 2010 software: Conviction tops with 486K units sold

The monthly NPD numbers are out, and on the software side, Xbox 360 exclusive Splinter Cell: Conviction was tops with 486K units sold, followed by Pokemon Soul/Silver in second place, moving 242.9K units.
