NPD April 2010: Nintendo pleased with being tops
Nintendo has responded to tonight’s NPD figures for April, and it seems very pleased with DS coming out tops on the hardware charts.

NPD April 2010: Games sales down 26% for the month
The NPD Group has issued its industry results from April, and it looks like the market as a whole was down 26 percent to $766.2M, and is down year-to-date by 11 percent.

Sony has responded to tonight’s NPD results from April, stating that PS3 continues to be “the only hardware console to see double digit growth”.

NPD April 2010: Microsoft – 360 sales contributed $204M spent for the month
Microsoft has responded to tonight’s NPD release for the month of April, citing the strong sales of Xbox 360- exclusive Splinter Cell: Conviction, and its hardware sales topping 185K units for the month, which is up six percent year-over-year.

NPD April 2010 software: Conviction tops with 486K units sold
The monthly NPD numbers are out, and on the software side, Xbox 360 exclusive Splinter Cell: Conviction was tops with 486K units sold, followed by Pokemon Soul/Silver in second place, moving 242.9K units.
