Nintendo Power’s final cover revealed, pays homage to first issue
Nintendo Power’s final cover has been revealed, and it pays homage to the magazine’s first cover. The original features clay versions of Mario and Bowser from Super Mario Bros. 2, and the final issue will feature clay version of the duo from New Super Mario Bros. U. The last issue of the magazine is expected to hit newsstands and mailboxes on December 6. Thanks, Joystiq.

Nintendo Power ends with December issue
Nintendo Power’s last issue will arrive in mail boxes in December, Nintendo has announced. It was revealed yesterday the magazine would no longer be circulated, and while reports suggest Future US is hoping a digital-only version can be produced instead, Nintendo hasn’t commented on whether that will be the case or not. Unless the firm changes it’s mind, look for the final issue to hit stands and your postal box later this year. Thanks, Nintendo Life.

Sonic & The Black Knight coming soon to a Wii near you?
Well, you can’t knock Sega for being predictable, at any rate. A thread on NeoGAF is touting a scan of Nintendo Power’s September issue, which features Sonic front and center, clad in a jeweled gauntlet and hefting a sizeable blade. The cover proclaims the game’s title “Sonic & The Black Knight.”
Aside from the fact that the cover looks pretty legit, this “announcement” was hinted in the last issue of NP, so we’re fairly sure this isn’t just a mean prank.
That does not, however, mean we hope it isn’t.

Trauma Center: Under the Knife 2 confirmed
The latest issue of Nintendo Power has word that a full sequel to the DS version of Trauma Center – Under the Knife – will be released in the US this summer. Apparently it’s going to pick up where the original left off and not have anything to do with the Wii version, and will include “improved funtionality” for Dr Stiles’ medical hardware. Sounds like an “easy” option’s going to be included as well.
No details on a European version yet.
