Brink, Enslaved, The Curfew up for Writers Guild award
Organisers of the Writers Guild Awards have announced the nominations for the Best Videogame awards. Splash Damage’s Ed Stern for Brink, Ninja Theory’s Tameem Antoniades & film producer Alex Garland for Enslaved and ex-journo Kieron Gillen for The Curfew are all up for the award, which will be given out on November 16 at Notting Hill.

DMC TGS stage show introduces gamescom demo
Capcom’s shown off the gamescom demo of DMC at Tokyo Game Show. The first part shows Dante and his ghost companion, while the second part shows a lot more of his white-haired side with Devil Trigger activated. This is properly stonking good, with the environments seriously absolutely brilliant. Get watching below the break, via GT.

More white-haired Dante shown in TGS 11 DMC trailer
Ninja Theory and Capcom have released their TGS DMC trailer, showing off plenty of the surreal environments we mentioned in our last impressions piece, and, some teasing glimpses of the new white-haired Dante model at the end. Watch it below the break. It’s out next year.

DmC Devil May Cry gets gamescom trailer and screens
Capcom’s released a new trailer for Ninja Theory developed DmC Devil May Cry and it shows a young Dante hacking and slashing at everything in his way. The video shows various environments from the game, with Dante hacking enemies in each one. It looks fun. The game’s scheduled for a 2012 release on Xbox 360 and PS3. Enslaved going for mega-cheap at £8 at Zavvi
Zavvi’s basically made it impossible for you to not have Enslaved now: the amazing Ninja Theory action title, which did critically well, but unfortunately lacked in sales, is at £7.85 for 360 and PS3. Crackdown 2′s going cheap for the 360 massive as well at £5.85. Either way, whatever you do, you owe yourself to get Enslaved. Now.

DMC has new story, bosses, Dante, and a shifting game world
Capcom has said that DMC will include more weapons along with new enemies and and abilities while keeping the same feel as previous games in the franchise.

A Capcom spokesperson has commented that Ninja Theory’s DMC reboot will be “one of the greatest” Devil May Cry games, and lift the series from an 80-average to a “perfect” 90-average.
