DmC: Devil May Cry developer Ninja Theory has released its free Bloody Palace DLC on PS3 and Xbox 360 today, adding 101 increasingly brutal challenge rooms into the mix.

DmC: Devil May Cry is full of humour and satire, but many people didn’t get the joke. Regardless, Ninja Theory’s twisted take on a world full of subliminal messages, right-wing media and drugged soft drinks isn’t too be taken too seriously, even if it was created to loosely mirror some of the failings of modern life as we know it.

DmC: Devil May Cry is a reboot and therefore it has a tricky job of convincing long-time fans to return and to get a new wave of players through the door. How does one achieve such a tricky balance? Capcom believes the key is to make the barrier for entry low, but to retain a solid challenge. The publisher has discussed its approach in a new interview.

DmC: Devil May Cry is available to pre-order on Steam now, at the low(ish) cost of $49.99. However, you can opt for the DmC: Complete Pack at $59.99, which includes some classic games from the series. Capcom has divulged the contents of both packs. Check them out here.

DmC Devil May Cry will be available at European retail and via digital download for PC on January 25. Developed by QLOC S.A., the PC version supports AMD Eyefinity multi-display tech and AMD CrossFire allowing players to use two or more graphics cards. It runs at 60fps or higher, and supports the Xbox 360 controller and all third party direct input controllers. Purchasing the game through Steam will support Cloud saving, achievements, friends support and leaderboards. Recommended and minimum PC specs are below, as well as some PC screens and trailers. It’s out on PS3 and Xbox 360 January 15.
