Nexuiz developer Illfonic has closed its Xbox 360 servers as the second THQ asset auction looms closer. The auction will take place on April 15th and will determine the game’s ultimate fate. The PC build is unaffected.

The exclusive publishing rights to arena shooter Nexuiz are among a number of unsold assets stuck in Limbo since THQ’s bankruptcy and piecemeal sale, and licensee Ilfonic is still waiting to find out what happens next.

THQ and Machinima have released a new video for Nexuiz, showing just a few of over the 100 Dynamic Mutators or power-ups featured in the game, which can change the way you play. Developed by Denver-based IllFonic and powered by CryENGINE 3, the game fast-paced arena FPS will be released as part of Microsoft’s House Party season on Xbox 360 February 29 for 800 Microsoft Points, and will be released later this spring on PS3 and PC. Machinima’s gone live with a three minute gameplay video of XBLA arena shooter Nexuiz ahead of its launch in a few weeks as part of House Party. The video focusses on a group of three weapons, known as the super weapon mutators: super shotgun, super nex and super hager. Also something in there about a mutator that turns weapon noises into farts. I’m not even going to go there.

The Illfonic-made, THQ-published shooter launches on February 29.

Nelson’s dropped the full list of dates and prices for this year’s Xbox Live House Party line-up, with the main bits being Alan Wake’s American Nightmare, launching on February 22 for 1200 MS points, and I Am Alive, releasing for the same price point on March 7. EA and Trapdoor’s Warp launches for 800 MS points, while THQ-published shooter Nexuiz releases on February 29 for the same pricepoint.

Kotaku‘s gone live with a preview and new screens of Nexiuz, the upcoming CryEngine 3-made FPS. Get them at the link, which includes plenty of info on game modes, player size and more. The THQ Partners-published title launches as part of XBLA House Party between February 15 and March 14.

Microsoft has confirmed its Xbox Live House Party 2012 line up, which includes Alan Wake’s American Nightmare and I Am Alive.

The Australian Classification Board has listed Capcom as the publisher for CryEngine 3-made arena FPS Nexuiz. THQ will deliver the game for Australia, due to it being Capcom’s distribution partner in Australia. The title, developed by IllFonic for PSN and XBLA, goes without a date or pricing as yet.
