IGN has been bought by j2 Global subsidiary Ziff Davis, confirming speculation that the group had acquired the company from previous owner News Corp for an undisclosed amount.

The Wall Street Journal is reporting that News Corp. has enlisted the help of investment bank Allen & Co. in order to auction off IGN after several attempts to find a buyer.
