Also included in the DLC are two new costumes: a dress for main lead Bryce and a Gaga outfit for Nikki.

“I understand people may think it is a silly game and even though we put serious work into gameplay too it is difficult to communicate that. Bryce [the main character] doesn’t need to evade or avoid [attacks]. If you get shot, it’s OK. It’s also hard to show this to the audience because it would change the way they play the game. It’s complicated just like trying to explain the story. It might be my fault, I’m not sure, but I’ll tell you honestly I tried to make the E3 trailer show Bryce’s true personality. I’m not sure if [it was] a success, but in the middle of the story it becomes more serious. He comes back to his young self, in his mind. NeverDead, when you look at it, is a story of vengeance. I need to make more effort to communicate this – I want people to know it’s a serious game with a guy who has a lot of bad luck.” – NeverDead director Shinta Nojiri to Siliconera.

Konami’s released out of its Tokyo press conference this morning the Tokyo Game Show trailer for Neverdead, as well as new screens. The trailer pretty much introduces the Japanese voice cast for the Rebellion third-person actioner, but there’s also some Megadeth too as a bonus. Go nuts with the video after the break. Screens are at Andriasang.

Eight minutes of gameplay footage from NeverDead has been posted, and it shows the game’s hero, Bryce Boltzmann, doing what he does best: killing nasties. Players will use Bryce’s immortality, thus the NeverDead moniker, as they fight demons in various ways – even by using body parts as weapons. The Shinta Nojiri and Rebellion-developed titles is expected for a winter release in Japan on PS3 and Xbox 360. No western date just yet. Thanks, Kotaku.

Not much on Konami’s NeverDead has been reported since the game’s announcement at last year’s classic, wonderful, and throughly enjoyable E3 press conference. Other than the odd screenshot assortment released back in April, it’s been rather quite over on the NeverDead front – that is, until today.
