Criterion has released a new Need for Speed: Most Wanted insider video walkthrough for the racer. It shows the various locales in Fairhaven City, and plenty of racing and chases. If you look closely at the end of it, you’ll see the Xbox 360 disc box for it contains a purple banner which is usually reserved for game’s with Kinect capabilities (via Videogamer). Could be mistake, could not, as EA has yet to announced anything pertaining to Kinect for it. Still, take it however you like. Report – Need for Speed film due February 2014
Looks like Dreamworks wasn’t kidding about pushing the Need for Speed movie out at a rapid pace; according to Deadline the adaptation is set to debut on February 7, 2014. The whole shebang only seems to have kicked off in April; compare and contrast with God of War, which has been in the works for seven years.
Thanks, Joystiq.

According to a report on The Chicago Tribune, EA is in talks with John Gatins to develop a movie pitch for “Need for Speed.” The report states Gatins and EA plan to produce the project with George Gatins writing the pitch. It is now being “shopped around Hollywood,” with Warner, Sony and Paramount all said to be interested in the film rights to the racing property, with bids expected in the low-seven figure range with Paramount the current front-runner. Plot details are being kept secret for now, but we’re wondering why the firm hasn’t enlisted the help of Michael Bay on this project.

GAME mentions new Medal of Honor, Need for Speed
This isn’t too much of a shock, but still. UK retailer GAME has mentioned in a tweet this morning that a new Medal of Honor and Need for Speed will form EA’s 2012 release line-up. It said in a tweet since deleted: “EA presentation was great, had mentions of a new Medal of Honour and Need for Speed 13! EA have an exciting year ahead.”
A new Need for Speed is as big of a surprise as the sun rising every morning, and a new Medal of Honor was expected for this year following Battlefield 3 in 2011. Confirmation of a sequel came early last year, and we also saw a leaflet teasing its return in the DICE shooter. It’s not yet known who’ll be behind this year’s NFS, but it’s almost certainly Criterion.

NFS: The Run trailer directed by Michael Bay released
The Michael Bay-directed trailer for Need for Speed: The Run was “liked” enough times on Facebook to warrant a release by EA. It’s posted below the break, and it is, indeed pretty swish. We noticed a couple scenes in it that reminded us vaguely of his Transformers flicks, but, we could also be imagining things as well. Watch for yourself below. The game is out in mid-November. Thanks, MotoGamesTV.

The game is out later this month. Thanks, Blue.
