Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception has been updated to version 1.17 in a patch issued earlier today. Full patch notes are available direct from Naughty Dog, but as fascinating as they are, the developer’s comment that the patch sets the game up for “biggest update to Uncharted 3 Multiplayer yet” is particularly interesting. This second update apparently drops tomorrow. I wonder what it could be? Hem hem.

The Last of Us may have been delayed if retail listings are any indication. According to a tweet from a Best Buy customer who stated he received a notice his pre-order has been delayed. Add this information on top of Walmart listing the sate as June 18, but GameStop is still listing the Standard, Survival Edition, and Pandemic Edition down for the original May 7 date, but as Shack points out, the database may have not been updated on that end. We’ll send a mail.

The Last of Us doesn’t launch for three more months, but one of its two special editions has already completely sold out in the US. The Post-Pandemic Edition is no longer available for pre-order, Sony has announced, but you can still grab the Survival Edition. The PlayStation 3 exclusive is due on May 7, and can be pre-ordered here; the store still offers the Post-Pandemic Edition as an option, but as Ni No Kuni taught us, inventory updates can take a while to reach digital storefronts. A new video for The Last of Us was shown during the 2012 VGAs this evening, and what pleased folks most – other than the really nice trailer – was the announcement that the game would release in May. Speculation of a spring 2013 date appeared earlier this week, when Walmart listed the period when opening up pre-orders for the Naughty Dog title. At the end of the trailer, a May 7 date was shown.
