Naughty Dog may be busy working on The Last of Us, but it has another team at the studio working on something yet to be announced. IGN has a screengrab taken from its latest Podcast Beyond segment, which features a chronicling of the development of The Last of Us. On one of the computer screens in the background, you can see character renders which look rather like people sporting “17th/18th century clothing,” and looking possibly like “pirates.” No one is sure what the character renders belong to, but it’s possible it could be from the firm’s PS4 title.

Naughty Dog has released a brand new developer diary for its upcoming game, The Last of Us, and it throws some light on the game’s sights and sounds. The video starts off with the game’s creative director Neil Druckman and game director Bruce Straley talking about the intimate releationship between Joel and Ellie and how it affects the gameplay. The Last of Us developer Naughty Dog will release two special editions of its apocalyptic PS3 game. Publisher Sony has trailered them both ahead of their June 14 release. Both the Ellie and Joel editions will cost €79.99 and can be pre-ordered now.

The Last of Us developer Naughty Dog has revealed that the focus-testing group handling surveys for the PS3 title were only planning on speaking with male gamers. Creative director Neil Druckman has revealed that the studio stepped in and forced them to include female gamers as well.

The demo for Naughty Dog’s The Last of Us which comes with God of War: Ascension, will go live on May 31. So, come that inevitable date in May, all owners of the latest Kratos bloodbath will need to do, is insert the disc and the demo will be waiting in the main menu. Via IGN.

Naughty Dog hears your babbling confusion and has provided a couple of handy resources. Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception has been updated to version 1.17 in a patch issued earlier today. Full patch notes are available direct from Naughty Dog, but as fascinating as they are, the developer’s comment that the patch sets the game up for “biggest update to Uncharted 3 Multiplayer yet” is particularly interesting. This second update apparently drops tomorrow. I wonder what it could be? Hem hem.
