Muse Games has released another free content update for Guns of Icarus Online, bringing the post-apocalyptic airship combat game to version 1.2 and adding a bunch of new goodies.

The Kickstarter for campaign for Guns of Icarus: Online – Adventure Mode has been successful, totting up its $100,000 goal with 34 days to go. The crowdfunding campaign aims to add large scale PvE combat, persistent progression, an economical and political model, AI and much more. This is the third Kickstarter Muse Games has run, all for the Guns of Icarus property; all have been successful. Adventure Mode is expected on Linux, Mac and PC in June 2014.

Muse Games is at the Kickstarter thing again, this time to push for a new mode for Guns of Icarus Online called Adventure Mode. They’re going for $100,000 this time, and a $20 donation gets you a copy of the game when it’s released.

Guns of Icarus Online is available now for pre-purchase on Steam for PC and Mac. The standard and collector’s edition are both at a discount right now for 25% and 24% off, respectively. Both editions provide access to the beta, which is still live. Guns of Icarus will release on October 29.

Muse Games has released a new gameplay trailer for Guns of Icarus: Online, the sequel to the original dieselpunk shooter where players can fly around in planes and zeppelins shooting at each other. The game focuses on multiplayer airship combat with players filling different roles on the ships carrying out various duties. A closed beta for the game is expected within the next two weeks or so, according to the game’s official website, and the developers told Joystiq it expects the beta to last through July and hopefully see a full release sometime in August on Steam for Mac and PC.
