Warner: Full-year ’11 revenue up 9% thanks to Arkham City, Mortal Kombat
Warner has released its full-year financials for 2011, and reported a revenue increase of 9% $12.6 billion thanks to sales of to Batman: Arkham City, Mortal Kombat, and “several”Lego titles. Arkham City has now shipped 6 million units worldwide since October, and Q4 results for its Film and Entertainment sector, which includes video game sales, saw a 7% increase in revenue year-over-year to $3.9 billion. Revenue across all sectors for full-year 2011 was $29.0 billion, which is an 8% increase year-over-year.

BBFC lists Mortal Kombat: Komplete Edition for February release
The BBFC has outed Mortal Kombat: Komplete Edition with a rating listing, and states it will be release on February 17. Formats other than Xbox 360 weren’t listed, but surely it will be released on PS3 as well. Also, considering it’s called the Komplete Edition, much to the chagrin of our spellcheker, like Eurogamer, we’re going to assume it includes all DLC released to date. We’ll send Warner a mail and ask.

Netherrealm Studios teasing “unexpected surprise”
Netherrealm boss and Mortal Kombat creator Ed Boon is teasing an imminent reveal.
“Unexpected surprise from NetherRealm Studios coming…….?” he tweeted.
In response to queries, Boon said the surprise is not related to the latest Mortal Kombat game – and isn’t Grid 2, a flyball suggestion.

Mortal Kombat Arcade Kollection gets a video
Netherrealm has released a video for the Mortal Kombat Arcade Kollection, which hits PSN today in the US. It contains the first three games in the series along with leader boards, online play, achievements, trophies and more. Developed by Other Ocean, the game can be yours for $9.99 on PSN or 800 MSP XBLA. The Xbox 360 version will be released tomorrow via the usual update, same with the PSN version in the UK and Europe. Mortal Kombat Arcade Kollection release date confirmed
Warner Bros. has announced a date for Mortal Kombat Arcade Kollection. It will be officially be available for download worldwide on August 31 on PC, PSN, and XBL. The release marks the first time the original Mortal Kombat arcade trilogy – Mortal Kombat, Mortal Kombat 2 and Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 – have been brought together in a single collection. The Mortal Kombat Arcade Kollection will be available for $9.99 on PC and PSN and on XBL for 800 MSP.
