BAFTA’s announced it’ll host a Q&A event featuring Mistwalker’s Hironobu Sakaguchi. The Final Fantasy creator will be in London to talk about the western release of the studio’s Wii RPG The Last Story. The game will also be playable to those in attendance at the event.

Tickets are available now from here for £5. The Last Story launches on February 24 in Europe for Wii.

The Last Story will get a special edition for its European release next month. It’s to come with a steel-cover art book, as well as a seven-track taster of its soundtrack from Nobuo Uematsu and another art booklet, featuring illustrations. There’s shots of the pack below. Nintendo’s released a European-centric trailer of The Last Story ahead of its release in the motherland next month. The footage shows boss fights, normal battles and open world exploratory, as well as a few story scenes from the Mistwalker RPG. The trailer’s below the break, via GoNintendo. Europeans will be able to purchase both standard and limited editions of The Last Story when it releases in the region next month. The limited edition will include a miniature art book, a soundtrack CD with seven songs from composer Nobuo Uematsu, and a copy of the game in steelbook case. Nintendo Europe’s announced this morning it’ll release The Last Story in Europe on February 24, more than a year after it launch in Japan. The game, as well as a single-play story, will contain multiplayer modes such as Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch and Co-op. The Mistwalker title forms a holy trinity of Wii RPGs that have come to Europe within the past year, including Xenoblade Chronicles earlier this year and Pandora’s Tower early next year. All three have seen fan demand for a US release, but only Xenoblade has been confirmed for an American release in April.

Nintendo been formally issued the trademark to The Last Story in the US. The trademark was filed as far back as January last year, but officially issued on Monday. This most likely isn’t for a release of the Mistwalker RPG, though. At least not yet anyways. The wait continues for the US posse. The game released back in January for Japan.
