Browser access to Miiverse now available
Miiverse can now be accessed via computer or smartphone. Wii U’s social network has now launched on browsers in its beta phase to see what all your friends are up.
The browser version allows users to view their Activity Feed, friends list, notifications and more but not make new posts and new accounts. To use the Miiverse outside of a Wii U a Nintendo Network ID still needs to be setup on a Wii U. Thanks Joystiq.
There is still no word of when Miiverse will hit 3DS.

Miiverse friend requests blocked for under 12s
Nintendo has made a quiet announcement of changes to its MiiVerse terms of service. As reported by Aussie-Gamer, the service now disallows direct friend requests to or from users aged 12 or under. Younger players can still make friends by swapping Nintendo Network IDs, a move Nintendo says it hopes will “encourage younger users to make friends on Wii U only if they are friends in real life”.
Thanks, Eurogamer.

MiiVerse detailed as browser-based, integrated with web and smartphones
MiiVerse, as announced during Nintendo Direct, was detailed as the new social aspect for Wii U. The demo shows during the firm’s E3 press conference showed Miis congregating and communicating with speech bubbles showing text messages and drawings – a lot like SwapNote. Users can share game screenshots and game scores, and facial expressions can be shared as well. Users can join Miiverse from 3DS, PC. mobile, or web-enabled device, but not from launch.
