After following along for four months of weekly teasers, the first thing I did this morning was check in with the long-awaited Mew-Genics reveal. Meet Team Meat’s newest game, which is all my dreams come true.

The latest update on Mew-Genics introduces D. Claude, a cat with “whiskers like spaghetti, fur just like a yeti” and myriad other complaints. Or possibly boasts. Who can tell?

Super Meat Boy: The Game on hold for Mew-Genics

Mew-Genics teaser week 14 – You’ve got mail!
The latest update from Team Meat for their upcoming Mew-Genics game goes into what you can expect from the mail system in the game.
Courtesy of GameInformer, mail in the game is vital, keeping players abreast of their friends and enemies movements as well as upcoming contests. It’s also somewhat random and unpredictable what may arrive, it could be a Cat Fight invitation, violation notices, money from your children or an SSI check reminder.

Mew-Genics Trinkets to be slightly randomly-generated
Mew-Genics, the mysterious new game from Team Meat, will allow players to collect stat-changing items called Trinkets, but in keeping with the theme of randomness, no two will be alike.

Mew-genics’ fourth character revealed
Team Meat has released the fourth of five promised pieces of character art for Mew-Genics, this time introducing Tracy. She “likes cats, but isn’t a big fan of you”, apparently. We don’t know what Mew-genics is; it involves randomness and cats and is very strange. Admire the new art through the break.

Mew-Genics reveals third of five characters
Team Meat has released a third piece of Mew-Genics art, this time showing Frank, who “has head problems”. He’s one of five expected reveals following Tinkles and Dr Beanies. We still don’t know anything about Mew-Genics beyond two of its features: cats and randomness. Oh, and that it’s the strangest game the pair has produced.

Mew-Genics art reveals two of five teased characters
Team Meat has released two new pieces of art for its next project, Mew-Genics, described as the “strangest” game the pair has ever worked on. The artworks show two of the five characters teased in the game’s announcement art, Mr Tinkles and Dr Beanies. Hit the break to see the images. We still have no idea what the game involves beyond cats and randomly generated data of some kind.
