Konami’s pre-E3 presentation to contain news on Metal Gear Solid 5, Lords of Shadow 2

Konami has announced it will stream its pre-E3 presenataion, in which Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2, Metal Gear Solid 5, Pro Evolution Soccer, and a number of “additional key announcements” will be highlighted.

Konami posts FY13 financial results, to “promote Metal Gear” series at E3

Konami has posted its financial results for the year ending March 31, 2013 posting an overall decrease in net revenues of 15% year-over-year to ¥2.3 billion ($23 million). However, its Digital Entertainment division posted an increase of 17.1% year-over- year of ¥1.5 billion ($15 million) compared to ¥1.2 billion ($12 million) the prior year.

David Hayter says he was not asked to be in Metal Gear Solid 5

Well, this is certainly interesting. After watching the trailer and gameplay demo for Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain earlier today, I thought it was strange that Snake (Big Boss, it would appear) did not speak at all. David Hayter, previous voice for Snakes both Solid and Naked, went to Twitter to say he “had a good run.”

The Kojima’s Metal Gear Solid Ground Zeroes panel at GDC, it was revealed that the mysterious title shown at the Spike VGAs last year is indeed a Kojima game, and is in fact the subtitle for Metal Gear Solid V. Watch this post about the panel for updates.

Metal Gear Solid watch: The Phantom Pain gets official screens

The Phantom Pain was the mysterious ‘new’ game unveiled at the VGAs over the weekend. There is plenty of evidence to suggest that it’s actually either Metal Gear Solid 5 or Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes. We’ve analysed the reveal in full here to explain why we feel it’s Metal Gear-related. Supposed developer Moby Dick studios has published a set of HD screens from the game on its shady site. Metal Gear Solid 5 motion capture work is currently underway. Silent Hill 4 motion actor Eric Bossic has just finished some work on the game with Kojima Productions, but he has warned that the game is a long way from finished.
