As promised, EA has today delivered a map pack in celebration of Zero Dark Thirty, a new film chronicling the capture of Osama Bin Laden. Available on Origin today and due on console networks this week, the pack includes two new multiplayer maps, Darra and Chitral, 14 weapon camos and six sets of attachments. It’s free to Limited and Digital Deluxe edition owners, and $10/800 MS Points otherwise; $1 from each sale in the US or Canada through March 19 2014 will be send to the Special Operations Warrior Foundation.

Medal of Honor: Warfighter’s The Hunt map pack – aka Zero Dark Thirty – will release next week, according to a post from level designer Marc Janas on US PS Blog.

Medal of Honor: Warfighter has been added to the Sony 12 Deals of Christmas as deal number 6. It is currently £29.99/€39.99, down from £59.99/€69.99. PlayStation Plus members get an additional 10% discount with the offer expiring on 12 December. The Sony blog has the announcement along with the previous five deals.

Resident Evil 6 sold 806,000 copies during October in the US, while Medal of Honor: Warfighter moved a little over 300,000, and Pokemon Black/White 2 moved 867,000 units combined.

Medal of Honor: Warfighter’s Zero Dark Thirty Map Pack is out this winter, and to give you an idea of what to expect, EA has released a flyover video of the map. The Zero Dark Thirty Map Pack is available at no extra cost with the Limited or Deluxe Editions, and was inspired by a “decade-long manhunt” in some of the world’s most dangerous places: Darra Gun Market and Chitral Compound. A new version or update for the free Battlelog iPhone app has been rolled out. The new version, 10.5.7, supports iOS6 and iPhone 5 but perhaps more importantly has been extended to Medal of Honor: Warfighter, the latest shooter to utilise EA’s shooter-centric gaming network. Grab it from iTunes.
