Max Payne 3′s Cemetery multiplayer map will be exclusive to GAME and Gamestation, according to the retailer. In order to acquire said map, you will need to pre-order the title in-store or online. Various GAME store will also be hosting midnight launch events for Max, which lands in the UK May 18. Thanks, Eurogamer.

Rockstar has released the TV spot for Max Payne 3 which aired during the Lakers vs Spurs game last night on ESPN. It’s below. Rockstar has announced a three-part original Max Payne 3 comic series will be released as a graphic novel and in limited print editions. It was created with Rockstar Games in collaboration with Marvel Custom Solutions and written by Rockstar’s Dan Houser and Remedy’s Sam Lake. Cover art was created by Greg Horn with pencils and inks by Fernando Blanco. The series will “delve into” Max’s troubled past through both Max Payne and Max Payne 2, leading up to Max Payne 3. It will also shed some light on his early years. Issue number one After the Fall will be released “in the next few weeks” for free via the Rockstar Newswire, the official Max Payne 3 website and additional digital comic channels.

Rockstar has released the Achievement and Trophy list for Max Payne 3, which includes over 40 challenges spanning across both the single-player and multiplayer. A few screens accompany the list, and it’s all posted below – with a few secret accomplishments omitted by Rockstar so as to surprise you come May 15 on PS3 and Xbox 360 and on PC May 29.

As he fights to uncover the truth behind the kidnapping, Max is pulled deeper into a vortex of violence and deception with little hope of escape as street gangs, paramilitary forces and elite police units fight for power and influence over the streets of São Paulo, Brazil. Rockstar has announced the official launch of the Max Payne 3 website, and with it the first in a series of “interactive features”focusing on the weapons in the game. The first of these features, a video showing the 608 Bull revolver, is posted below. The gun is very large and contains eight rounds of “staggering firepower” which can be deployed rather accurately over short distances. If you head on through the link, you will become privy to the first details on one of the “most vicious cartels” in Max Payne 3, the Comando Sombra. The game is out on PS3 and Xbox 360 May 15 and on PC May 29 in the US and June 1 in Europe.

Rockstar has announced that customers who pre-order Max Payne 3 at any US GameStop location or online, will get early access to the Cemetery Multiplayer Map. Customers will gain access to the map at the game’s launch, weeks before it will be made available for download to the public. The cemetery in the map is where Max’s wife and daughter are buried, representing the “tragic past” Max can’t seem to forget. The map is described as having a “snowy New York City skyline”, with sniping positions available among the monuments. The tombstones are destructible, and circular fighting arenas in a rotunda garden and a looming mausoleum are available as well. Max Payne 3 will be released in March, and if you’ve got the money, you can also pre-order the Special Edition which was announced yesterday,
