Masthead to shut down Earthrise servers today
Massthead has announced it’s shutting down its sci-fi, open-world sandbox MMORPG, Earthrise, due to various issues such as quality and lack of financial backing.

Earthrise to relaunch as free-to-play in 2012
Ve3D reports Masthead’s debut game, Earthrise, is going free-to-play. As of December 1, players will no longer be able to purchase monthly subscriptions, and the games is expected to make the full conversion on January 1. A boxed version will be available at retail and grant access to the “premium” version. The scifi MMO shooter launched in February this year, and has an emphasis on PvP play.

Bethesda’s bid for a restraining order against Fallout MMO developer denied
A US district court judge has denied Bethesda’s request for a temporary restraining order against Masthead, co-developer of Interplay’s Fallout MMO.
