Origin is offering a free copy of Battlefield 3 with US pre-orders for Mass Effect 3, along with the previously-announced bonus weapons, the M55 Argus Assault Rifle and Origin-exclusive AT12 Raider Shotgun. An EA representative has told Kotaku that tie-in titles for Mass Effect 3, regularly mentioned during EA’s quarterly financials, will be revealed soon. The representative made specific mention of both “handheld” and “mobile”, suggesting we could be looking at more than an iOS app, and said the tie-ins would be part of the Galaxy at War system – also tied to Mass Effect 3′s multiplayer – by which players can affect events within the core game. Mass Effect 3 launches on PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in March.

EA’s released a new video of Mass Effect 3, reeling out the cast for the game. The clip features the return of Martin Sheen as Illusive Man, Seth Green as Joker, Ali Hillis as Liara and Jennifer Hale as FemShep, plus the debut of Freddie Prinze.
