MvC2 revamp doesn’t mean you’re going to get MvC3, says Capcom

Looks like a Capcom vs. Marvel 3 is not going to happen anytime soon, according to Capcom.
Capcom community manager Seth Killian was asked if gamers can expect the title any time soon by Joystiq during a media event yesterday, and his answer was not very hopeful.
“The short answer is no, that’s not any part of this deal,” he said.
“What we’re hoping is that if people get really juiced about this title, and we can show Marvel that there’s a lot of heat behind this, then they’ll open up the door for us to do something with ’3,’ which is something we’d love to do.”
The biggest problem, he said, has to do with licensing issues preventing further development.
However, there is the possibility of Marvel vs. Capcom 2 arcade sticks heading to retailers.
“It’s a discussion … we would love to make it happen,” he revealed. “If you saw the ‘leak’ of those MadCatz sticks, that was actually B.S. That was a complete fabrication, but it’s something we would love to do.”

Capcom: We’re “not done” with HD fight remixes

Lordy. Capcom’s Christian Svensson’s confirmed that more HD fighter remixes are on the way, news likely to shatter the tiny minds of 2D brawler fans everywhere.
“Are we done doing HD Remixes? No we’re not done,” the exec told Videogamer.
“But the next ones that we do will be even better, based on what we learned.”
When asked if Marvel vs. Capcom 2 could be next up, Svensson said: “I won’t say it doesn’t need it. Marvel would be great to do. There’s obviously a fan base for it. It’s probably our most requested title. Unfortunately, I wish I had news to share on that front but I don’t.”
Double awesome. More through there. Thanks, 1UP.

SFIV producer: I’d like to do another Marvel Vs Capcom game
Speaking to Das Gamer, Street Fighter IV producer Yoshinori Ono has again said that he’s interested in working on another Marvel Vs Capcom game. Which is cool. Because we’re interested in playing one.
I’d like to do another Marvel game, a Marvel vs. Capcom. I regard Marvel as the best in comics. I would like to do it again, and I did mention this in a previous interview,” he said.
“Apparently the president of Marvel Entertainment read that, and really wants that to happen. When I went to the US, he invited me to his office and actually offered support and so on and so forth. I met with him again at Comic-Con, and apparently during a speech he said, “Capcom is cooking up something with us.” That is not true at all, but we’re quite keen on the concept.”
Make the magic happen, Capcom people. More through the link. Thanks, Kotaku.
