Max Payne 3 comics series produced by Marvel coming “in the next few weeks”

Rockstar has announced a three-part original Max Payne 3 comic series will be released as a graphic novel and in limited print editions. It was created with Rockstar Games in collaboration with Marvel Custom Solutions and written by Rockstar’s Dan Houser and Remedy’s Sam Lake. Cover art was created by Greg Horn with pencils and inks by Fernando Blanco. The series will “delve into” Max’s troubled past through both Max Payne and Max Payne 2, leading up to Max Payne 3. It will also shed some light on his early years. Issue number one After the Fall will be released “in the next few weeks” for free via the Rockstar Newswire, the official Max Payne 3 website and additional digital comic channels.

Marvel MMO unshelved, will have comic writers on board

Remember Gazillion Entertainment and Marvel signing a 10-year contract for Marvel MMOs? They’re going to have Marvel writers and artists working on them, apparently.

Marvel’s Ira Rubenstein said so at the GamesBeat 2009 conference in San Francisco.

Seems like the world cannot get enough of super heroes.
