Mäki – No “schedule” for Alan Wake PC updates

Remedy boss Markus Mäki has told VG247 that there’s no timeframe in place for the release of news on Alan Wake’s PC version.
“I don’t unfortunately have a schedule for updates at this point,” the developer said via email.
His comment comes after he yesterday posted on the Alan Wake message boards to say that he “will be making comments in regards to the PC at a later in time.”
Mäki said in the same post that all of Remedy’s efforts are currently focused on the game’s 360 version.

Alan Wake PC news to “come at later time,” all efforts on 360 version

Remedy poster “Markus” – presumably Markus Mäki – has said on the Alan Wake message boards that news related to the game’s PC version is on the way.
“I’m a PC gamer at heart (have a Core i7, Radeon 4890, 5.1 audio setup at home) so I do appreciate your concerns,” he said.
“Unfortunately all I can say at this point is that we’re focusing all our efforts on the 360 version and will be making comments in regards to the PC at a later in time.”
You didn’t know there was a PC version? Alan Wake was originally announced for PC and “next generation consoles” in 2005. In May 2006, that switched to, “Format TBD for Microsoft Windows Vista and DVD for the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system.”
We’re just checking to make sure that’s Markus Mäki now. Doesn’t sound very promising for the PC crowd though, does it?

Remedy squashes Alan Wake TGS showing talk
Just in case it wasn’t clear, Alan Wake won’t be shown at TGS this year. Remedy’s Markus Maki has posted on the game’s official boards and put the rumour to bed once and for all.
“The Microsoft Vista promotion referring to TGS took place in 2007, and is old news – we’ve had the winner over for taking the pictures already,” he said.
“Sorry for the confusion and possible disappointment, but this was not an announcement that Wake would be shown at TGS 2008. Remedy’s team is just getting back from a bit of holiday and we haven’t had time to chat with Microsoft on upcoming shows/showings yet.”
End.
