Rein: NGP a “pretty huge deal” for all gamers, not just PlayStation fans
During NGP’s revel at Sony’s PlayStation Meeting yesterday, Epic Games’ co-founder Tim Sweeney showed Trendy Game’s port of its UR3 Dungeon Defenders game running on the handheld, and the firm’s vice president Mark Rein said it was a “great demonstration of Unreal Engine 3′s fantastic cross-platform capabilities.”

Report – Epic “potential buyer” for APB

Rein apologizes to Harris over comments made during Develop panel
There was a big hoopla on the internet last week, after indie developer Cliff Harris of Positec Games blasted Epic’s Mark Rein on his personal blog, over comments Rein made while Harris was giving a talk at the Develop Conference in Brighton.
This has resulted in Rein apologizing to Harris for interrupting the panel discussion.

Epic demos Unreal running 3D with Gears 2
Epic’s Mark Rein was at E3 this week showing a tech demo of Unreal Engine combined with Trioviz’s 3D technology.
The tech demo showed Gears 2 running in full 3D.

Epic’s Mark Rein “very impressed” with iPad’s game demos
Epic’s Mark Rein was present for Apple’s iPad event yesterday and just happened to mention that a working demo of Unreal Engine 3 already runs on iPhone 3GS, so it should run on the new product as well.
While Rein was non-committal regarding a version of UR3 made specifically for iPad, he did admit that he was impressed with the game demos.
