Yu Suzuki will provide a Classic Game Postmortem on his Dreamcast game Shenmue during GDC 2014. The talk will be translated by Mark Cerny, who you know as the game designer of Knack and lead system architect for PlayStation 4. This will be Suzuki’s first time discussing the creation Shenmue at an event, GDC organizers said. The talk will start from the game’sorigin as a Virtua Fighter-based RPG on Sega Saturn, leading up to the game’s release on Dreamcast in 1999. GDC 2014 takes place March 17-21.

PlayStation 4′s remote play feature makes it possible to stream games from the console to your PS Vita outside the home. However, PS4 architect Mark Cerny has suggested that latency factors could render the feature less-than-ideal for twitch games like shooters or racers.

Sony’s PS4 system architect and Knack creator Mark Cerny provided the keynote at the Develop conference today, and while the majority of his speech was pretty much the exact talk he gave at the GameLab expo, he did touch upon Knack development around the end. Not much of what he said regarding the game was new, other than the bit about a giant DualShock 4 prototype, but the game really looks and sounds interesting.
