Mario Galaxy 2 roughly 95% new content
During today’s Nintendo roundtable, Nintendo legend Shigeru Miyamoto said that Super Mario Galaxy 2 was originally intended to be a remix of the original Galaxy’s content. However, it was expanded into a full sequel.
A small percentage of the game — about five percent — is essentially composed of remixed levels from the first game. But really, only five percent? We’ll live.
Game’s out in 2010.

Mario Galaxy 2′s E3 trailer is here, you will like it
Nintendo announced Mario Galaxy 2 For Wii at its press event today.
Now we have the trailer posted after the break, and screens are over on Edge.
This is the first time a second 3D Mario game has ever appeared on a single Nintendo console.

Nintendo announced Mario Galaxy 2 For Wii at its press event at E3.
Riding Yoshi. On very Galaxy-like levels.
Spherical worlds and stuff. Giant Goombas too.
This is the first time a second 3D Mario game has ever appeared on a single Nintendo console.
