Nintendo to launch special Mario and Sonic Wii hardware bundle
Nintendo’s announced this morning it’ll launch a hardware bundle of Mario and Sonic at the 2012 London Olympics with the “newly configured” Wii hardware revision that was announced at gamescom. The bundle will feature the console in a blue colour with a copy of the game. It’ll launch on the game’s release in the UK on November 18. And that be that.

Sega: Don’t expect a Mario-Sonic crossover outside Olympics
That laughing, smiling, and enjoying each others’ company during the Olympics? Just a farce. A contractual obligation. Once all the medal winning and probable steroid usage has died down, Mario and Sonic go their separate ways. That’s just the way things are, and according to Sega’s Takashi Iizuka, they’re not likely to change.
