Following the recent online discussion regarding the technical side of Xbox One, Major Nelson has announced he will be taking some questions in a live Yahoo! chat. Details can be found on Majornelson.com.

The chat will use Covert It Live and will automatically go live on his site. It will start on Wednesday at 4p ET/ 1p PT/ 9p UK time.

Microsoft’s Larry Hryb has announced the welcome extension of the Xbox 360 subscription deal to US chain retailers Best Buy and Gamestop. The deal, which includes a 4GB Xbox 360 and Kinect for $99 plus two year’s subscription fee of $14.99, was previously only available through Microsoft’s rare retail outlets until the firm announced a change of heart earlier in the month.

Some further details of this week’s mysterious Xbox 360 update have surfaced. According to Microsoft’s Larry Hyrb, also known as Major Nelson, the update is intended to “quickly fix some voice recognition issues affecting our non-English speaking members”.
